Yes they do. Forensic Scientists often use this fact to estimate a suspects height by measuring the footprint stride length (and of course the footprint size as well).
My husband is 6'1"..I'm 5"1"... I have to practically run to keep up with him...LOL. And He's not walking fast.
It depends not all taller people take long strides than shorter people, and not all tall people win short runners.
