The chemical formulas for barium chloride and nitric acid are BaCl2 and HNO3 respectively. The reaction between barium chloride and nitric acid is a double displacement reaction. Barium chloride is combined with nitric acid to yield barium nitrate and hydrochloric acid. The chemical formulas for barium nitrate and hydrochloric acid are Ba(NO3)2 and 2HCl. The balanced equation for the reaction is;

BaCl2 + 2HNO3 ------ > Ba(NO3)2 + 2HCl

Barium chloride will never react with nitric and hydrochloric acid.  It will just mix and remain as ions.  No chemical reaction takes place.  It reacts only with sulphuric acid
