There is 27 Cubic feet in a cubic yard. An 80 lb. Bag of ready mix does approx. 2/3 cubic feet. So 27 x 3= 81 3rds. 27 x 2 = 54 3rds. 81 - 54 = 27 divided by 2= 13.5
13.5 + 27 = 40.5 sacks.

Apparently, it takes about 45 of the 80# bags of pre-mix concrete to make 1 cubic yard of concrete.
