The total number of cities in Pakistan is hard to ascertain because there appears to be a difference of opinion as to what qualifies as a city. Wikipedia lists a total of 201 cities; one source claims that in the 2010 census 271 cities were listed for Pakistan; the Guide PK's list of cities consists of 374 names and according to Falling Grain, which lists places with populations as low as around 5000 inhabitants as cities, there should be thousands.
