I too conducted an experiment on plant growth and music. I had 6 types of plants. I gave 3 plants sunlight and water ONLY. The other three plants recieved classical music, talking, sunlight and water. Needless to say the plants that I talked to and played music for grew faster and taller than the three that only recieved sunlight and water. Classical music showed positive results I don't think they responded well to loud music. Plants do indeed respond to CLASSICAL music and positive human interaction! To all doubters why not try the experiment and get your own results.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of evidence that supports the idea that music/talking to plants helps their growth. There's not been a study done on a large enough scale to say one way or another, however. Put differently, most evidence thus far has been anecdotal.
This question was tested in season 2 of the TV show "Mythbusters." Their conclusion was that the idea of sound influencing plant growth is plausible. That is, their results showed sound could influence plant growth but that more study is necessary
ppl who have done mini science projects have seen music affecting plants growth. Some ppl who have experimented this have found out that The plant that was in the best condition was the plant that was in the room with classical music. The second best plant was the one in the room with no music and the one that didn't do so good was the one in the room with rock music.

I actually conducted an experiment a while ago using 5 plants w/ 4 different types of music (1 control not using music). In my experiment there was clearly a large difference in plant development, w/ the one w/ classical music growing much taller and faster and healthier than the others. The one w/ rock actually started to die. I can't remember what the other kind of music was. I was actually fairly amazed at the results myself, I didn't expect to see as big of a difference as I did, but it's huge.
I am doing a science project like that one, except I am playing country music to one group of marigolds, and no music to another, giving them both the same amount of water, sunlight and trying to keep there temperature the same, and I am measuring how long the plants are and comparing their length.I also turn of the music at 9;00 pm[before I go to bed]and turn it back on at 7;00 am.On the fourth day of my experiment the plants with music had sprouted and they even grew overnight when the music was turned of.The plants without music had not grown yet,so your starting to think the conclusion is the music does affect the plants.
I think plants grow better with music
I think that they do grow better and faster with classical music. I conducted this experiment myself with radish and Basil. The radish germinated and sprouted within six days. I can't say why because I do not know!
You would have to experiment with that. I don't think it has any major effect.
I am doing a science fair project on this subject and I need some info if you may please give it to me.
I do not know. I need the same answer as you do!! 8)
No I tr
No,that is so stupid. It should not matter if it has music or not. IT NEEDS PROPER SUNLIGHT AND WATER and you will have a good plant!
