How Does A Plant Grow?

Growing of a plant is a natural process. It has an internal mechanism which enables it to grow if provided with basic needs and necessities. A plant needs water and sun rays in order for it to grow properly. The roots of the plants reach deep beneath the earth and pull out water for the plant.

If there are plants growing in your area, it is advisable to water them once in a while. Growing of a plant is very much like the growing of a human body but just a little bit faster. It does take quite a lot of time for a plant to grow completely.

It is also recommended to keep the pests and the insects away from the plants as they might ruin the quality of the soil and the plant by eating it. It is the duty of mankind to protect all the trees and plants around him because the main source of oxygen is from the trees so if the trees keep dying, human race will perish as well.

Plants start their growth from either seeds or bare root. If grown from seedling, the plant seed has three essential parts to ensure the beginning of its seedling life will flourish: The tough case, the baby plant and a food supply to support the beginning growth of the baby plant. Once the outer covering of the seed is broken, the plant will begin to develop.  Once the plant develops leaves, it will begin using the photosynthesis process for food and energy production. Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy into glucose for the use of chemical energy.Photosynthesis requires carbon dioxide, water and sunlight, all of which must be transported through the leaves of the plant. The leaves absorb the sunlight for the plant via the chemical chlorophyll, which gives leaves the green color. Chlorophyll turns the sunlight into energy for the plant to eat. The water is absorbed through the roots and moves its way up to the leaves and produces oxygen.Animal breathe in the oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, which the plant absorbs. When this cycle is repeated over and over, plants grow better.
