Does Rubbing A Gold Ring On A Stye Help To Prevent It Or To Get Rid Of It?

I heard from my friend that she had a really big stye until she rubbed a gold ring on her stye and to her surprize it was gone the next day only a bit of redness but soon after it was completely gone. So I'd say rubbing some sort of gold on a stye is a total sucess!

Everyone that I've talked to that has done it, said that it is a major success.
