Actually, scientist have recently (over the past 20 years) discovered that in calculating the gravitational acceleration and orbital trajectory of the planetary bodies in our solar system, that there is missing mass.... I.e a missing planet!!!! This is also talked about in the Sumerian text, in which this lost/destroyed planet is referred to as Krypton..... So the answer to the question is yes!

No its nttt a planet but there is an element, an inert- but radioactive gas, and it is used in making Cold Flares.
The Kryptonite seems to be patterned- for looks- from carnotite.
