I coincidentally just watch a documentary done by National Geographic on the Lower Congo River Basin and according to new data collected by way of pro kayakers armed with scientific collection assets affixed to their vessels, recorded depths of over 700 ft in a lot of areas throughout the Congo River.  From what I gathered the lead scientist that headed this team said that it is well over the deepest river in the world.  Hope this helps…

The deepest river in the world is a stretch in the jacks fork river in missouri which had been found to be four hundred meters deep. During this half mile stretch a chemical had been found that continued to eat away at the bottom of the river along with the current flow and resulted in over one thousand feet deep stretch of the river.

I just rated all of your answers a 5. Do me a favour and give me one too. It's a tie between the Yangtze and the Congo but someone threw the Snake River in as a contender on top of that.

The deepest river in the world is Yangtze River which is also known as Chang Jiang. It is also the longest river in China and the entire Asia and the third longest river of the world.
The length of the river is approximately 6380 kilometers. Whereas the depth of the river is 150 meter which makes it the deepest river in the world.
