The earthquake killed many people and it also brought many buildings down. This is because the houses were strong, but the roofs were too heavy!!

The Earthquake Kobe is also known as Great Hanshin Earthquake and it occured in Japan on 17th January 1995. It measured 7.3 on the Richter magnitude scale and the effects of this earthquake were devastating. It resulted in death of 6434 people and damaged the economy immensely.
