Toys "R" Us is a toy store chain placed in United States, Canada and United Kingdom. The company in all handles five hundred and eighty seven stores in United States itself, it operated another six hundred stores in twenty nine other countries.
The initial store located in New York City's Time Square is the biggest toy store in the world, comprising of a colorful ferris wheel. A toy "R" (LTD) was started by Charles Lazarus in Washington, DC in the post-war era. It was initially started as a baby furniture outlet.
Over the period of years Lazarus started getting request for baby toys from many of his buyers. Later on after adding baby toys to his outlets he got request for much grown up toys, hence over the period of years the focus shifted completely to toys, and this is how Toys "R" Us was born.
