Cumbria is a county of England located at the extreme northwest end of England. It borders Scotland to its north. The Isle of Man is found off the coast of Cumbria to the west. The county is bordered by Northumberland to the north east, Devon to the east, North Yorkshire to the south east and Lancashire to the south.

Cumbria has a population of nearly 500,000. Its coat of arms depicts a ram on a jousting helmet with a chained bull and a winged dragon on either side of a shield.

Cumbria's natural beauty has been an inspiration for both British and foreign artists and writers including the likes of William Wordsworth. The Lake District National Park is known for its unparalleled beauty in all of Great Britain.
