The shape and texture of a rock changes over time due to the environment it is in... Rain,snow,water,or being crushed by some other object... A great example since I live by the ocean is that rocks and shells change due to the waves and tides changing all the time.. They are being tossed around by the sea therefore over time may chip and change their shape and texture
