The communication is the tool to transfer your idea from one person to another. In business communication there are some principle areas as follows;
• Completeness
• Correctness
• Conciseness
• Clarity
• Concreteness
• Consideration
• Courtesy
Your question is about conciseness. Its main purpose is to pass message in fewest possible words in order to save time without scarifying the other C qualities. It emphasize on words. In conciseness you have to eliminate the unnecessary words and make the clear idea about the message.

To follow the conciseness you have to shorten the wordy expressions, write only relevant statements, avoid repetition, and give few examples and words. Example,
Take wordy sentences opposite to concise one.

Wordy: we will let you know about the picnic.

Concise: we will inform you about picnic.

Concise writing is doesn't mean short only but it has to be precise, straight forward and relevant to the topic. There some basic steps to write concise documents or letters.

1. Focus on message-avoid useless information and lengthy explanations.
2. Be clear –avoid long phrases.
3. Use plain language-use simple and straight language tools.
4. Stay simple-do not use trees you will lose your path in the forest.
5. Illustrate, don't explain-in figure, pictures cases.
6. use active voice.
