Godmanchester is a little town in England; it is placed directly south of the vast town of Huntingdon on the southern bank of the River Great Ouse. It comes at the A14 road, which use to be a historic Ermine street in between London, Lincoln and York.

Presently found in the county of Cambridgeshire, the town for long has been a part of Huntingdonshire. According to the census conducted in the year 2003 the total population of Godmanchester was around five thousand five hundred. The population of this region saw a sensational growth of 81 per cent during the period between 1981 and 1991, with average growth after that.

The town was initially licensed by King John in 1212, even though earlier it was a market town and royal hall.
