Blackburn is a town located in Lancashire, England. The total population of Blackburn is 140,200. It was one of the main centers of the textile industry during the Industrial revolution. It is also the home of Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

Blackburn is based in the county of Lancashire, though Preston is the governmental town of the county. Blackburn is the biggest municipality in the whole of East Lancashire. Blackburn is surrounded by many other smaller towns; it has Accrington to the eastern side and Darwen towards the southern side.

Blackburn is quiet famous for its football team which is located at Ewood Park stadium. The club had done a lot to elevate the pride of the town; they won the English premier league in 1995 and bagged the League cup in 2002. The club was founded in the year 1875.
