It is in Rutland, England where you can find the county town of Oakham. The town lies quite close to Rutland Water, a lake that is among the largest in Europe in man-made category. The region of the town is East Midlands and the population stands at 9,975 as declared by the census of the year 2001.

This town has many attractions to its credit and some of them include the All Saints Church and Oakham Castle. Another very popular and historic feature of the town is the open-air market. This market is organised on every Wednesday and Saturday in the town's market and has historical significance. The Oakham Castle is also very attractive and is decorated with Romanesque architectural details. It is also a grade I listed building.
